Prophets Conference pilgrims approaching Stonehenge at sunrise
July 9th - STONEHENGE, AVEBURY, WEST KENNET LONGBARROW, SILBURY HILL.
Leaving Glastonbury at 9.30, we travel by comfortable mini-bus to Stonehenge. This special unique place is hugely powerful for many reasons. A celestial Temple marking the movements of the sun at the midsummer and midwinter Solstices, a pivotal temenos in a landscape of the ancestors and, as recent discoveries have uncovered, a mausoleum for a special blood-line. Although we don’t have private access, we will be able to ascertain what makes this site so sacred.
We take the 30 minute drive to Avebury, where we can wander around and touch the stones and wonder at the power and complexity of this unique edifice. At the matrix, where the Monolith once stood, we will conduct a simple ceremony of linkage, respect and will-to-good. We will also visit the stone avenue, a pathway both for humans and spirits. We will also view the remains of a rarely visited stone row.
We view Silbury Hill, a short drive away and visit nearby West Kennet Longbarrow which we can enter and where we will hold a communion with the Ancestors.
July 10th – WELLS CATHEDRAL, PRIDDY NINE BARROWS, BURRINGTON COMBE, AVELINES HOLE, STANTON DREW STONE CIRCLE, CHEDDAR GORGE.

Wells Cathedral
Medieval Wells Cathedral is hugely evocative, built on sanctified land near where sacred springs bubble up in a pool, springs which gave Wells its name. This is one of the most beautiful religious structures in Britain, full of peace, piety and inspiration.
We travel up into the Mendip Hills to visit Priddy Nine Barrows, Bronze age burial mounds for special tribal leaders. A short drive away is beautiful Burrington Combe, a valley deep in the hills, where we visit Aveline’s Hole where early Stone-Age people buried their dead, deep in the womb of the earth.
We take the 30 minute drive to powerful Stanton Drew Stone Circle, rarely visited and where recent explorations have discovered a complex wooden temple structure amongst the stones. We will hold a ceremony here, keynote being peace and inner strength.

We finish our tour with a drive through Cheddar Gorge, an inspirational natural wonder.
11th July – WEARYALL HILL AND THE SACRED THORNTREE, CHALICE WELL, THE TOR, THE SACRED OAKS, GLASTONBURY ABBEY, THE OLD SWEET TRACK.
Wearyall Hill is where Joseph of Arimathea is said to have planted his sacred staff of thorn wood. It took root and the descendent is still seen today, growing on the side of the hill. Standing by this ribbon festooned sacred tree, we have a marvellous view of the Tor and neighbouring Chalice Hill and of the beautiful countryside which surrounds Glastonbury.

Tor and sacred Thorntree
We next visit Chalice Well, linked in legend with the Holy Grail and a place of peace and quiet reflection. We will hold an attunement here.
The Tor, which is Somerset Dialect for a hill, is climbed next and standing on its height, we can feel that is a portal, a place between the worlds, of vision and feyness.
A short drive from the Tor are the thousand year-old Druid Oaks of Gog and Magog. We link here with the wonder of these ancient trees.
Glastonbury Abbey is said to be built on land already held sacred by the Druids and with the link with the earliest church in Britain, founded by Joseph of Arimathea, we cannot fail to be lifted by the peace and holiness of this evocative place. We end our tour with a visit a few miles out of the town, to the Old Sweet Track, a stretch of Neolithic trackway, now reburied under the peat, to preserve it. Here, in a landscape little changed from Neolithic times, we can feel the nature-based spirituality of those times, and as we see the Tor in the distance, we conduct a ceremony of time and timelessness.
