The following letters were received from some of the people who gathered with us in Port Townsend. The Seattle Weekly newspaper ran a cover story piece on the conference in their September 30th (1999) issue.

Just wanted to THANK YOU for the most wonderful weekend at the Prophets Conference in Port Townsend. The entire conference was an experience that will stay with me for a long time and one within which I felt such communion with every one there and the world! If only the whole world could have been there - well, just imagine the potential outcomes.

I write to share my thanks for fostering and staging the wonderful Prophets Conference in Port Townsend. The conference was very validating for me and also deeply rewarding. I attended because I wanted to see and hear James Twyman. I also had interest in Gregg Braden. I had read the books of both these men.

What amazed me, however, is what I got from Edgar Mitchell. I am a mystic and not fond of or understanding of science. Of course, I can relate to nice cars and great computers. I have never understood why scientists are so 'rigorous'. I nearly broke my mind in my effort to follow Dr. Mitchell's lecture on Sunday.

Then, lo and behold. On Wednesday morning, about 3:00am, I awoke with the most wonderful realization. I 'got' what Dr. Mitchell was talking about. My left brain got opened up the way my right brain has been since childhood. His candor and his reach of intellect were also components to my 'ahah'.

I gained tremendously from Ilona Selke and from Joan Ocean. They are precious and accomplished women.

This is my take on the conference as a whole: I believe/see/experience/know that the conference functioned as a ritual of initiation. Anyone who was ready and willing to go to the next step of openness and/or realization was initiated by the conference.

I do not know you folks. I do admire and respect what you do in the world.

I am wanting to write a personal note of thanks to Dr. Mitchell for his presentation at the conference.

Dionne & I are still floating in amazement, revelation, rich information & love. The conference has emboldened us with a definitive sense of purpose. We acted as "galactic journalists" & took down a lot of information: copious notes on all of the presenters (which, believe it or not, didn't cramp my hand at all).  Lovely!

Once again thanks so much for bringing the Prophets Conference to Port Townsend. It was one of the most exciting weekends I've ever had and the energy continues to spread. Bravo! I enjoyed the conference and the attendees very much. I still say we need some body movement. Yoga for the lower back, Cherokee dance of life, sun salutation, something. These are things I am very good at and have been teaching for many years and I would love to do the work free of charge to anyone attending the conference. Just a thought for the next one.

Such a magnificent adventure for the mind and soul! While most of the ideas and ideals are not new, they were presented in such a way to give them new vigor and immediacy. Mary and I now realize that we are on the cusp of a great shift (in worldview, roles of human institutions, science and technology, and most important the way all of humanity will see their individual places in the cosmic scheme). We will definitely participate in future Axiom and Prophets Conference adventures. Again, thank you for a truly evolutionary experience!

I have returned from this incredible conference, inspired, invigorated and eager for more. Thank you from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head including my aura. I hope to attend conferences in the future. My only suggestion for improvement would be to somehow weave in smaller groups discussions on some of the material, perhaps led by facilitators that are more knowledgeable about the information to answer questions and to stimulate discussion as that is a good way to 'digest' the food for thought. Anyway, may the great spirit bless the love and courage in your heart and if I may be of service ...

Report On The "Prophets Conference"...08/30/99
(ECTV) The first thing all of us noticed, was the incredible surroundings of Port Townsend, Washington. What an unbelievable location to hold a spiritual/metaphysical conference (with science sprinkled throughout). It is kind of like the Santa Fe of the Northwest.. Trees, Ocean, Trails, Old Victorian homes, all kinds of metaphysical shops and co-op stores. It was truly as if stepping back in time to the turn of the century. I was so happy I had brought my mountain bike. It made for some memorable rides... Everyone was in a similar mode. It was as I had hoped, a community could come together for a single cause. Egos and attitudes were checked at the door. It has renewed my hope for us "All To Move On"

TOGETHER... James Twyman - This was the first time I had met James. He brought the crowd to tears and laughter. He is a wonderful story teller, with a message of peace, hope and togetherness. He closed with a John Lennon song "Give Peace A Chance". He brought the house down as we all joined in. Steven Greer - It was good to see Steven once again. We have shared two conferences in the past. He was his usual terrific self. Great news on ufo head way, both scientific and political. Joe Firmage - ... Joe gave an incredible talk on what is to come. He truly is the next generation of UFO enthusiast. One of Joe's most welcomed applause came when he stated, without reservation, "The Internet will NEVER be policed or controlled". He brought the house down with thunderous applause. You could feel the electricity in the air. John Mack - Dr. Mack methodically went through his procedure to extract information from abductees. He gave us a detailed account of what people would report of their experience. He highlighted the fact of how similar their descriptions are. This led him to believe "it was not just hallucinations or psychosis". It was enough to leave us with great concern and question. Gregg Braden - My absolute favorite. I have interviewed Gregg many times, but the one I did right on the floor of one of the conference rooms with people all around, is indeed my very best. I will post this and other interviews on our real audio archive page ASAP. Gregg continues to grow and unfold into a most unique speaker and teacher. He comes from a science background in aerospace and geology. He is one of the most gifted people I know who can truly bridge the gap between science and the esoteric.

Folks, I am hopeful we can mirror what was able to take place at this Prophets Conference. A since of unity, community, togetherness, and belonging. Let us hope we can put away egos and short sighted narrow-minded thinking which only Pass The Word...
