Q – What is The Prophets Conference™?

A - The Prophets Conference™ is an organization that presents many of today’s leading authors and teachers in the areas of metaphysics and new science. Having produced 36 major conferences and many workshops, seminars, and tours, The Prophets Conference™ has become a recognized and respected leader in its field, bringing many thousands of people groundbreaking and transformative information.

Q – What is the vision of The Prophets Conference™?

A – The Prophets Conference™ is dedicated to assisting in the birthing of a new humanity, and thereby, the realization of the successful cultivation of a sustainable and workable world. We see the unprecedented changes and challenges facing the people of this world as a birthing process leading towards a tipping point for a personal and planetary renaissance.

Our programs with many of today's trailblazing teachers are designed to cultivate spiritual principles and scientific potentials, invoking oneness and deeper experiences for those who participate in this growing community.

Each process a Prophets Conference licensee needs to master has been refined again and again. Independent small businesses must learn as they go, developing their own operations mechanisms and strategies. In short, they have to work "on" their business while they work "in" their business. With The Prophets Conference™, the system is in place - all you need to do is follow it. If the provided training doesn't cover a specific aspect of the operation, The Prophets Conference™ staff will be there to support you.

A business concept is never finished...we are always listening, experiencing, and folding in good ideas that can be incorporated system wide, and adjusting to your market. Our licensees will be polled regularly for best practices, problem areas, and things they hear their customers talking about. This will then be analyzed and the benefits spread to all.

Q - Is it necessary to have previous event production experience?

A - No. Although it might be helpful, it is not necessary. What is necessary is a drive to succeed, dedication to building a long lasting and productive company, and an enthusiasm for creating events that are of service to others.

Q – Why the name The Prophets Conference™?

A – The name The Prophets Conference™ was selected before the year 2000 because we saw the physical and spiritual manifestation on our planet at an unprecedented juncture calling out for revelation and enlightenment. Instead of a few enlightened prophets foreseeing the future, we saw that many people could use their creativity based upon inspiration breathed in from greater intelligence, the spirit that leads and guides them to more than looking into possible futures through the intellect. This inspired creativity during this time we live in of social, intellectual and ecological discontinuity can lead to a great prophetic intent in the present moment that transforms and transcends and magnificently manifests events and circumstances to come. It is as if together we are assembling an array of prophetic puzzle pieces into a beautiful picture.

Q - May I use my own business name?

A - Yes, if you like you may use your business name along with The Prophets Conference™ trademark.

Q - Will an economic downturn hurt my conference business?

A – In the event of a recession in the U.S., people will even be less inclined than they are now to travel to events in distant cities. The costs of air and lodging and other associated costs, along with conference and workshop fees constitute a substantial expenditure and can be as high as $1,700 as opposed to the conference fee of only around $250 for local participants. This is one of our incentives in getting out the teachings in a decentralized way. Additionally, our demographic has above average income and is on average more financially stable. During the recession of the 1990s we experienced some of our best business when we presented people like James Redfield, the Carlos Castaneda group, Stan Grof, Margot Anand, Terence McKenna, Tom Robbins, and many others. We found that when people feel anxious they tend to be even more interested in what our work provides.

Q – What is the initial Licensing Fee?

A – The licensing fee is a one-time fee which will vary based on the market size, ranging between $15,000 and $30,000.

Q – Are there ongoing fees?

A – Yes, a monthly royalty fee ranging between $300 and $500 (depending on the market), which may be offset by Licensor Affiliate revenue. This royalty fee is payment for use of The Prophets Conference™ trademark as well as continual technical and marketing support from our headquarters.

Q – How much money will I need in addition to the licensing fee?

A – As a general rule you should arrange to have access to working capital to fund the initial cash flow requirements of your first one or two events, to set up your office and communications requirements including your website, and to fund any other expenses of your business.

Q – What kind of support will I receive from The Prophets Conference™?

A – The Prophets Conference™ Licensor will provide, at no additional cost, initial training and on-going support for the length of the license. Additionally, you will be provided monthly email support of your events to our growing email list now over 50,000 subscribers. You will also receive an operations manual filled with what we have learned over the last 15 years of our operation. We are going to hold your hand and walk you through every detail big and small, everything from staging and tech., ordering tickets, graphics, placing advertising, getting sponsors and exhibitors, facilitating your introductions to presenters, facilitating presenter booking and contracts, work trades, selecting a venue, hotel arrangements and agreements, audio and video recording, duplicating, and on-site and after market product sales, setting up a shopping cart, promotion and networking, affiliate program, and any other special needs to make it all work for you.

Q – Who are The Prophets Conference™ customers?

A - The people who attend The Prophets Conferences™ are referred to as Cultural Creatives, which were first described in 1995 in the book Cultural Creatives by Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson. They are described as a distinct population segment of competent, inner directed activists who choose to live a balanced and artful life of spiritual, personal and social growth as well as a lifestyle of health and sustainability. They live this way to insure their personal wellbeing, the sustainability of a civil society and the planet, and the quality of life for future generations. In the United States alone there are now an estimated 63 million cultural creatives. They could become half of the American population in ten to fifteen years. Recent research reported by LOHAS conservatively estimates this Cultural Creative market to be $227.9 billion in the U.S. and growing.

Q – What is the longevity of The Prophets Conference™?

A - The information presented at the conferences evolves as our understanding widens; new teachers with new points of view are always coming up on the scene. What you will be presenting over the years may change but the desire of our audience to discover, learn and evolve is a constant.

Q – How do I contact the presenters?

A – The Prophets Conference™ has developed extensive relationships with most of the teachers in the new thought field. We will either connect you directly with the presenters or their representatives, or work on your behalf to secure the presenters you want while negotiating the best speaker fees.

Q – How much staff will I need to make this work?

A – Your staffing needs will vary according to how many events you wish to annually produce. We run our business producing an average of six large events a year with two full time people, four out-sourced people, and additional people working at the events. You should be able to out-source most of your needs such as bookkeeping, AV and staging, graphics, printing, etc. If you wish to work part-time while you continue with another profession, you will probably need to hire a competent part-time or full-time assistant/manager to carry on daily business.

Q – What type of business organization should I (we) set-up?

A – We suggest that you set up a corporation (S, C, or LLC) or you may want to set-up a partnership with others joining you for your start-up.

A – A good guideline is to present programs that have heart and meaning for you.
