JOINING the facuty of ORBS: INTERACTING WITH OTHER REALMS The Prophets Conference Palm Springs Spring Equinox March 21-23, 2008 will be John Pickering and Katie Hall whose book Beyond Photography was published November 2006 and is the first book to chronicle one couple’s experience of paranormal phenomena and to make a serious attempt to set those personal encounters in the wider context of human contact with the paranormal throughout history.
In their presentation at the Palm Springs conference they will be sharing with you some of the photographs, experiences and insights resulting from their four years of encounters with another Reality. For both of them their connection with Luminosities actually goes back many years as seen in a few of their old 35mm SLR Photos in which Orbs are clearly present. At the time they did not recognise them for what they were (suggestion –go back and look at your old 35mm and digital photos).
When a sceptical friend said;
"I'd be more impressed if you got a whole roomful!"
that's exactly what happend on the very next shot.
The specific phase which resulted in their book Beyond Photography began with Orbs, but more importantly for them it led to other perspectives, becoming an unfolding experience, which at times was like living in two worlds at once. Additionally they discovered that Katie’s ability to see Small Transient Lights, (what we called: STLs,) had a direct connection to the Luminosities they were photographing and they shall be relating this aspect of “seeing orbs” in their presentation.
Integral to their four years experience was the privilege of taking some amazing photographs of Luminosities and Light-Forms. But equally important, was the recurring incidence of synchronicity and convergence which began then and which is still occurring in their own lives and in the lives of many who have since read Beyond Photography.
Something is happening to human consciousness and it seems that what they have written of and photographed in Beyond Photography is part of it. So in their presentation they shall be looking specifically at the existence of a wider Reality and how encountering that Reality can change and expand our perspective on the cosmos and the nature of consciousness.
Whilst other-worldly experiences are undoubtedly uplifting and inspiring – they are also intellectually and emotionally disturbing for many. The existence of a greater Reality in which beings of a vastly different order to us live and move, without regard to our religious or scientific paradigms - and which encompasses the lives of every creature on Earth, raises serious questions for the way we live and the meaning of our life here.
In that context John and Katie shall be looking at the spiritual implications for humanity collectively, and for us as individuals, raised by the existence of that wider Reality, which now seems to be impinging more frequently on everyday life and how that all relates to the age old question: What is it that we are and what is it that we are part of?
It began with orbs but it wasn't long before what we call "Light-Forms" also started to appear.
About John Pickering and Katie Hall
When, 12 years ago, artist Katie Hall asked the universe for help she had no idea at the time that the tiny twinkling lights which were sent to her would lead her to a new life and love, or that they were the beginning of an amazing odyssey into realms of light beyond our normal Reality.
Synchronicity and light phenomenon have been part of Katie and John’s life since they first met and for over 4 years they have been given the unique photographic encounters with orbs and light beings which led them to write, Beyond Photography. Documented by some of the most astounding and consistent images ever taken of the paranormal, their book is the most complete photographic account in the world of one couples personal experience of orbs and light beings.
Artists, writers and researchers, Katie Hall and John Pickering live and work together in their home in the United Kingdom. Katie has a degree in design and is also a contemporary artist. John is a writer and cartoonist. He has worked in health education and has a lifetime interest in comparative religion and humanity's spiritual quest.
Between them, Katie and John have two cats and four children. Since the publication of Beyond Photography they have had positive responses and interest from people all over the world. Their experience of other realities is on going and John is currently writing two new titles exploring in more depth some of the issues merely touched on in Beyond Photography.
